Destined Rivals

Destined Rivals combines elements from two Japanese sets: The Glory of Team Rocket and Hot Wind Arena. The expansion introduces over 240 cards, including:​

  • Characters like Giovanni, Archer, Ariana, Petrel, and Proton. Notably, Jessie and James from the anime are absent. ​
  • 10 Trainer’s Pokémon ex.​
  • 11 Special Illustration Rare Pokémon cards.​

A standout card is Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex, which is expected to be the promo in the Elite Trainer Box. Additionally, the set includes Trainer-Pokémon pairs like Cynthia & Garchomp ex, Ethan & Ho-Oh ex, and Marnie & Grimmsnarl ex.

New English Set Release

Journey Together

The Pokémon TCG's upcoming set, Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together, is scheduled for release on March 28, 2025.

This expansion features over 180 cards, including more than 40 Trainer's Pokémon and 15 Pokémon ex. Notable cards include N's Zoroark ex, Iono's Bellibolt ex, Lillie's Clefairy ex, and Hop's Zacian ex.

The set reintroduces the "Trainer's Pokémon" mechanic, highlighting the bonds between Trainers and their Pokémon. It also includes special illustration cards and hyper-rare gold-etched cards.

For collectors, the Elite Trainer Box features a promo card of N's Zorua, and Enhanced Booster Boxes include a N's Reshiram promo.

Upcoming English Set Release

Heat Wave Arena

The Japanese Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) is set to release the "Heat Wave Arena" set on March 14, 2025. This set, officially known as the Scarlet & Violet Enhanced Expansion Pack SV9a, will feature Trainer's Pokémon cards, including those of Ethan, Misty, and potentially Arven.

Key Highlight of the Hot Air Arena Set:

  • Ethan's Ho-Oh ex
  • Misty's Gyarados
  • Arven's Mabostiff ex

Please note that while the Heat Wave Arena set is scheduled for release in Japan on March 14, 2025, international availability may vary.
